About us
Having been an entrepreneur since the age of 18, Refilwe
Ndoweni quickly learned that there are many variables in
running businesses, many of which are regularly
fluctuating and constantly creating unsustainable
conditions for her businesses' success.
It was then, in 2020, during South Africa's Covid-19
lockdown when the pandemic not only added more
challenges to running a business but, highlighted the
volatility of life, reflected in the many deaths and the
exponential growth of unemployment in South Africa that
Refilwe realised the real value of business is in building a
legacy, rather than seeking profit, and operating to
impact others' lives.
This marked the conception of KEAMO Premium— the
need to create something that will outlive her, benefit the
generations that will follow her and, creating something
that has an impact on other people's lives.
Embracing one's roots has always been important to
Refilwe leading her to build her brand on the value of
authenticity and Africanism. The name "KEAMO" is a
combination of her two daughters' names; Keabetswe
and Tshiamo. It was important to her to name her brand
after something that matters to her.
